The use of mobile CCTV cameras has increased in recent years, but deployment of the technology has been held back by the limitations of the mobile network to accommodate the transmission of the data volumes generated by streaming high quality images, resulting in costly and time-consuming visits to camera sites to gather evidence, particularly by PCSO’s and other police staff.
The announcement of the RedHand re-deployable mobile camera, however, brings a genuine advance by enabling the gathering of recorded evidence without having to resort to a site visit armed with a laptop.
This is achieved using the latest Wide Area Network (WAN) technology to provide a massive compression of data; this means that the mobile phone network can be used while maintaining full frame speed, previously only possible through wired or fixed wireless connections.
Images are recorded directly onto one or more Internet enabled recorders, employing a variety of camera options, including ANPR, and these can be viewed and recorded at any number of locations simultaneously.
We are delighted to announce the completion of the first successful installation of our mobile (re-deployable) camera in Cindeford in the Forest of Dean, using a HIKVision 4MP PTZ camera which records to a HIKVision NVR in the council office. This set-up can be readily replicated in a local police station, CCTV control room and/or other multiple locations.
The camera could be either purchased outright or rented from us, including SIM and data charges. We can also carry out full installation and demonstration and provide client testimonials should you require.
